Spotswood Toughened Glass is a patterned safety glass that has been heat-treated for increased strength, providing privacy while allowing natural light through.
Spotswood Toughened Glass is produced by heating annealed glass uniformly to temperatures exceeding 600°C before rapidly cooling it. This process significantly increases the strength of the glass and its resistance to impact and thermal stress.
With its distinctive patterned surface, Spotswood is commonly specified for privacy windows, doors and shower screens where obscured vision is required.
It can be heat soaked where reducing the risk of spontaneous breakage is a project requirement, and can be incorporated into custom laminated glass make-ups.
Grade A safety glass manufactured to AS/NZS 2208.
