Acid Etched Toughened Glass

Acid Etched Toughened Glass is a Grade A safety glass with a smooth, satin-etched finish, heat-treated for increased strength while providing privacy.

Acid Etched Toughened Glass

Acid Etched Toughened Glass is produced by heating annealed glass uniformly to temperatures exceeding 600°C before rapidly cooling it. This process significantly increases the strength of the glass and its resistance to impact and thermal stress.

Manufactured to AS/NZS 2208, its smooth satin-etched finish makes it a popular choice for balustrades, pool fencing, privacy windows, doors and shower screens.

It can be heat soaked where reducing the risk of spontaneous breakage is a project requirement, and can be incorporated into custom laminated glass make-ups.
